Psalm 145:1-2 I will extol thee, my God, O king, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day I will bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
We will be blessing and praising God forever for all eternity. And even eternity will not be enough time to completely finish blessing the Lord for all His goodness and mercy. It is so great. While it may seem boring to just stand around and bless the Lord all day every day forever, it will be just the opposite. Eternal life is full of such exuberance and unbridled joy that continual blessing and praise is the only possible response.
To bless God is to say good things about God and to Him. And when we do, we feel refreshed, renewed, and excited, and so eternal joy shall be our experience. This kind of deep and abiding joy refreshes our soul even now while we praise and bless the Lord during the daily grind of earthly life. We feel better. We know what it feels like when other people bless us with gifts and kind and caring words and deeds. And we experience this joy doubled when we are blessing others.
Blessing and praise bring the joys of Heaven and the felt love of God into our present bitter existence. Blessing makes us feel better whether we are the blessed or the blesser. Eternal life with its forever joy is ours now, and it never ends. We fill our life with never-ending blessing and praise, and the Lord never stops blessing us. We are abundantly blessed, we bless the Lord, and we bless others.
